HANDS ON TRAINING

Quaysport for Training.

Learn in the Sun. If you are new to boating, want to handle a boat better than you do, or simply wish to obtain a qualification – come and learn with us in a climate that makes learning a lot of fun – without the wet weather gear.

Our RYA boat training courses in Menorca are designed to be fun and exciting; more of a training holiday than a regimented course. You, your family and friends will learn how to go from our Mahon based moorings to idyllic anchorages as well as train you to manoeuvre in close quarters with one of our professional RYA Instructors. Enjoy the stunning coastline and secluded turquoise bays on an island of protected outstanding natural beauty.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL RYA COURSES ARE CONDUCTED IN ENGLISH (a very good level of English is required)

Powerboat Level  2

The RYA PB2 course is our most popular course and the two days over which it is run gives plenty of time for both practical instruction and theory.

A great starting point for people wishing to get in to boating. This course provides you with the skills and background knowledge required to drive a powerboat, open boat, RIB or sports boat. Your training will cover the complete syllabus to include boat handling in close quarters, high and low speed manoeuvres, berthing, man overboard recovery and collision regulations. Taking the course with Quaysport Menorca’s RYA Training Centre will provide you with a coastal endorsement for your certificate.

Course Duration: 2 days from 10am – 5pm

Prior Experience: None. May be preceded by Level 1 Start Powerboating

Instructor – Student Ratio: 3 Students to 1 Instructor and boat

Minimum Age: We are generally happy for a child over 12 to attend a course with their parent/guardian on our boats at any time – please call to discuss. Children over 16 can attend a normal course at any time but we must have the parent/guardian’s specific permission – please call to discuss.
